Trust in God’s plan

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name and you are mine…I am about to do a new thing; it’s happening even now. Do you not see it?” (Isaiah 43: 1,19)

Don’t fear. Trust in God’s plan – the parts we’ve already seen and the parts that are becoming clear only now. For God is no stranger and His isn’t a one-size-fits-all plan — it’s a design that is a specific fit for a specific time for a specific people. And that plan and people – and yes, that time too – includes us!

These are great words to remember as we move ahead in this time of uncertainty at Emmaus. Even though we have yet to select our next Senior Pastor, we can (and should!) trust that God’s plan for Emmaus is for our good and will take us to places only God really knows right now!  But as we remain faithful, oh, the places we’ll go!! So in the meantime, keep believing, keep praying, and do not fear! With a new fall roster of programs and activities, it might even be time for you to step forward in faith into a new ministry area at Emmaus. We’d love to have you come alongside us now – in fact, perhaps God is even calling you by name! Warmly, Rob Ryden Director of Worship
